Amy Lancaster
I create stoneware pottery layering colors to create movement and motion; this is especially true with blues, amber, and white glazes. One of my signature pieces is a large wave pattern, made with multiple applications of different blues. My true love is throwing on the wheel, but I enjoy the artistry of hand building also.

Angalynn Bishop
The pieces that Angalynn creates are inspired by her appreciation of texture. Angalynn chooses to create with clay because she likes the way the clay feels in her hands as she shapes, molds, and adds texture to the pliable medium. She finds enjoyment in the touch and feel of the finished pieces.
Angalynn says that building with clay is the greatest “playing in the dirt” experience and that it is therapeutic. The pieces that Angalynn enjoys creating the most are those that lack uniformity and have edges and surfaces that are interesting both to the touch and to the eye.
Angalynn uses both manmade and natural items to create the visual and physical texture details. Textures are a result of hand carving designs/shapes into the clay, pressing an item into the clay to leave an imprint, ripping or tearing the edges of the clay, or pressing clay into a mold. A variety of underglazes and glazes are applied to achieve the coloring. Each piece is assembled to complement the texture and dimension.
